‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Prequel In The Works? Kurt Sutter Working On New Project

Could there be a “Sons Of Anarchy” prequel in the works? The show’s creator, Kurt Sutter, recently revealed that he was working on a new project, and fans are buzzing that it could possibly be set in the “SOA” universe.

‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Prequel Series In The Works?

According to CSN, rumors are flying that a possible prequel and a spinoff will be be hitting the small screen in the future. However, information about these projects are being kept largely under wraps.

It’s unconfirmed on whether or not the prequel has been confirmed, but if it does happen the show could tell the story of a young Jax Teller growing up in the shadow of his father’s criminal motorcycle club.

“It’s Jax prospecting to become a full club member,” writer Ollie Masters said in a Hollywood Reporter article. “This is a story about him proving himself — to the club, to their enemies and allies and to himself.”

Will Charlie Hunnam Return?

“In [the TV series], the shadow of his father looms large over him and it does in our series as well, but for us it’s recent history, so it’s more of an open wound than a scar being pulled open,” he continued. “He’s still dealing with J.T’s death and what it means to exist in a masculine heavy world without a father to guide him.”

If the “Sons of Anarchy” prequel does happen, could Charlie Hunnam reprise his role as Jax Teller? Kurt Sutter revealed that he and Charlie have spoken about the possibilities.

“It’s something that we have interest in,” he told E! News. “We are interested. I think the timing of it really depends on what unfolds.”
