Angelina Jolie is claiming that Brad Pitt is slacking on paying child support for the couple’s six children. People magazine reports that Angelina has filed new court documents asking the courts to make Brad comply by paying “meaningful” child support.
Samantha Bley, Jolie’s divorce lawyer, stated in the documents filed early Tuesday morning in Los Angeles Superior Court that “[Pitt] has a duty to pay child support. As of present, [Pitt] has paid no meaningful child support since separation.
“Given the informal arrangements around the payment of the children’s expenses have not been regularly sustained by [Pitt] for over a year and a half, [Jolie] intends to file an RFO [request for a court order] for the establishment of a retroactive child support order.”
Angelina’s rep spoke with People on Jolie’s recent filing saying, “The aim of Angelina’s routine court filing is to provide closure to the marriage in a way that clears a path toward the next stage of their lives and allows her and Brad to recommit as devoted co-parents to their children.”
However, there seems to be a disagreement on the financial matter according to a source familiar with Brad and Angelina’s divorce situation claiming that “Brad fulfills his commitments.”
As previously reported, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie shocked fans in 2016 with news of their divorce after only two years of marriage with claims that their split was brought on by drug, alcohol abuse and anger issues on Brad Pitt’s part.
The divorce and custody battles have been nasty, to say the least, especially concerning the custody of Brad and Angelina‘s six children— Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. It also appears that despite Angelina’s claim to want to get the marriage and custody issues settled quickly it seems never ending from her side.
Rumors that Brad Pitt had reunited with ex- Jennifer Aniston has been circulating since the Pitt/Jolie divorce announcement. However, both Aniston and Pitt have denied any form of reconciliation.
The most recent reunion spark came over the past weekend when reports of Jennifer Aniston visiting the home of Pitt’s close pal George Clooney were revealed leading many to believe the pair were meeting secretly at Clooney’s home.
