The upcoming Sunday, October 14 episode of “Shameless” has dedicated fan’s nerves on edge for a couple of reasons. Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to fan-favorite Cameron Monaghan this week.
As previously reported Cameron Monaghan, who has played Ian Gallagher since day one on the Showtime hit comedy-drama announced last week that this Sunday would be his final episode.

Following Monaghan’s sad announcement fans began immediately speculating as to how Ian Gallagher will make his departure. Social media and “Shameless” fan pages were full of conversations debating the big event. Many fans are hoping that Ian Gallagher will make his final appearance and go off once and for all with the love of his life Mickey Milkovich…And it appears according to Inquistr that this could be a possibility because Sunday’s episode of Shameless, titled “Face It, You’re Gorgeous,” reveals
a huge surprise.
The cast list for the episode found on IMDb – reveals that Noel Fisher is scheduled to make a guest appearance on the upcoming episode.
However, this could not necessarily mean a happily ever after ending for Ian and Mickey. Social media rumors are circulating that a tragic ending could be on the way. Many are speculating that Ian Gallagher may lose his life during his final show.
How could this happen? Well, it could go down a few different ways. One, Ian could flee and meet up with Mickey and since Mickey is a wanted man they could get caught up in a police shootout that takes one, or both of their lives. The second possibility according to fans claims that Ian Gallagher could spiral completely out of control after admitting he is off of his meds and take his own life.
One last popular scenario has many considering that Mickey comes back for Ian and the two go out together in a Romeo and Juliet fashion. This could also explain why Noel Fisher is not the only past cast member making an appearance this week.
Emma Greenwell who played the role of Mickey’s sister, Mandy, is also listed on the episode. This along with a few cast tweets have many thinking that a sad ending is coming and that the former South-Siders are making their way back to the old neighborhood for a funeral.
We hope not…But we will soon find the answers all “Shameless” fans nervously await on Sunday. We are pulling for that happy ending for Ian Gallagher! However it happens, one thing is for sure Ian Gallagher is going to be greatly missed!
