TV icon Barbara Walters’ health continues in rapid decline. The 89-year-old former star of The View who reportedly suffers from advanced dementia is extremely frail and now spends her days bed-ridden according to Radar Online.
Barbara Walters has remained a recluse and unseen by the public eye for more than three years. Sources close to Walters allegedly claim that Barbara rarely leaves her bed and fails to recognize even her closest of friends.
“Barbara suffers from exhaustion and fatigue, as well as anxiety and agitation,” spilled an insider. “She’s very frail and spends a great deal of the day napping!”
Last May reports began surfacing that Walters was content to spend her days alone at her home in her ritzy New York City apartment building. According to the former “View” star’s doorman, she has been refusing visitors for the past several months.

It is rumored that Walters’ condition has been deteriorating at such a rapid speed that ABC News has already begun preparing her obituary. Barbara’s team continue to insist that the legend is fine despite current reports.

“Sadly, her dementia has been getting worse. [Her] caretakers give her the opportunity to make everyday decisions, but more often than not she’ll stare at them blankly.”
