Disney parents have been put on alert. This time the warning to parents is coming from an alleged former witch who is now a born-again Christian by the name of Jenny Weaver.

According to MovieGuide.org Weaver feels she must alert parents against Disney’s children show The Owl House. Weaver claims it is necessary for parents to be made aware that she feels the children’s series may have the ability to influence children in the demonic culture.

The Disney series  is a show based on a teenager who suddenly finds herself stuck in the “demon realm” and is forced to battle evil with the help of a witch and a tiny warrior.

Weaver claims her experience as a former witch gives her the knowledge to speak out to parents about the potentially dangerous influence that the show could have over the unsuspecting children and parents.

“[The demonic hold that was over my life is] why I tell parents when I minister, it’s not a joke when we say be careful what your children are watching,” Weaver said.

Weaver went on to explain that before she turned her life over to Christ, she was influenced by a movie that she viewed that changed her life and influenced her decision to become a witch.

She states that the film that changed her life was “The Craft.”

“The Craft” is a 1996 pop culture film that’s plot centers around the story of four troubled outcast teenage girls who become friends and come together to practice the art of witchcraft. The teens soon begin using their combined powers for their own personal gains and soon find their dabbling with the dark powers soon have a negative repercussion for them all.

The film stars actresses Neve Campbell, Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk and Rachel True. Jenny Weaver states “I actually watched a movie that was very popular when I was in high school.”

Weaver describes growing up in a dysfunctional home and battling depression. She adds she saw the power in the movie as a way out.

“I remember hearing these voices, ‘Just kill yourself. Just go away. It would be better off if you would just die.’ And so, I started to cut my wrists severely. I remember having 56 cuts all up and down my arms. It was a way in my mind that I was able to escape,” explained Weaver.

Weaver believes that cutting gave way to the demonic realm and influenced her to Weaver to become a practicing witch. She also admits at that time she was bad shape, smoking methamphetamine in dope houses, sleeping in people’s sheds.

She continues that things got so bad for her at that time she just remembers crying out to the top of my lungs, ‘God Help Me!’”

Today Jenny Weaver lives a totally different lifestyle through worship. SHe hopes that by sharing her great concern with parents over the Disney series The Owl House and the influence such subject matter could have on some children she may prevent some from going down the same dark path that she did as a young woman.
