The Masked Singer blew fans away on Super Bowl Sunday when they aired the Season 3 premiere to a huge crowd, and revealing the very first star of the season, much to the shock of the fans and judges. Now fans want to know who the other stars behind the masks are, including the hilarious new character of The Llama.
Good Housekeeping reports that during the premiere, The Llama’s clues included a “Sounds of Seattle” CD laying next to him as he hosted a radio show on the fictional station of 23.3 “The Wool.”
Llama also revealed that some people call him a “joker” as he laid down a black Jack and Ace of Spades playing cards. He also revealed a green jade Buddah statue on his table.
In addition, the Llama’s costume features a camera around his neck, and some laid back, casual clothing.
So, who is The Llama? Well, fans already have a lot of theories. The first celebrity name to be dropped was Drew Carey. The clues that point to Drew are the “Sounds of Seattle” CD, which could hint at Carey’s co-ownership of the Seattle Sounders soccer team, the camera, which could be a nod to Drew’s photography skills, and the 23.3, as there were 233 episodes of The Drew Carey Show.
The connections are certainly there. The Llama’s comedic ways also point to Drew being the man behind the mask.
“The Llama is Drew Carey. I’ve watched an ungodly amount of who’s line is it anyways. Drew Carey can lose weight but I’ll still recognize his voice anywhere from all those Irish drinking songs,” one fan stated via Twitter.
Meanwhile, others believe that actor Kelsey Grammer could be hiding under the elaborate costume. Not only can Kelsey sing after having starred in Finding Neverland and La Cage aux Folles on Broadway, he also starred on the hit TV series, Fraiser, where he played a Seattle radio host.
“I’m getting a strong Kelsey Grammer vibe with the Llama,” another TV watcher tweeted.

Another popular guess is actor Jack Black. The playing cards could be a nod, albeit it would be a very obvious one. In addition to acting, Jack is also a musician who sings in the band Tenacious D.
A final guess is actor David Spade. In the Disney film The Emperor’s New Groove, David played the character of Kuzco, a arrogant emperor who eventually gets turned into a llama. In addition, judge Nicole Scherzinger also believed that Spade could be the person hiding under the wild and wacky costume.
Fans can see more of The Llama with Season 3 of The Masked Singer airs on it’s regular time, Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on Fox.
