Anderson Cooper won’t inherit his mother Gloria Vanderbilt’s $200 million fortune when she dies

Anderson Cooper revealed why he wont’ inherit the millions during a recent interview with Howard Stern.

Cooper believes it is bad luck to inherit money saying,

“I don’t believe in inheriting money. I think it’s an initiative sucker. I think it’s a curse.”

Anderson Cooper may have the Vanderbilt family blood running through his veins, but he is firm that he will not be inheriting the generations of Vanderbilt family money.
“My mom’s made clear to me that there’s no trust fund. There’s none of that.”
Cooper, 46, reasoned during the Stern interview,

” Who has inherited a lot of money that has gone on to do things in their own life? From the time I was growing up, if I felt that there was some pot of gold waiting for me, I don’t know that I would’ve been so motivated.”

The CNN anchor and reporter is not hurting for cash, he has made sure to spend his life earning his own way.

” I’m doing fine on my own, I don’t need any,” he says.

Anderson is a reported $11 million per year with his CNN contract,so money is not a big issue for him.

Anderson Cooper won’t inherit the Vanderbilt fortune, so where will the family money go when Gloria Vanderbilt, 90, passes away?.Well that is the question?

Cooper has been a correspondent for the CBS News program 60 Minutes since 2007 while concurrently serving as a CNN correspondent.

Anderson Cooper has two older half-brothers, Leopold Stanislaus “Stan” Stokowski (born 1950), and Christopher Stokowski (born 1952), from Gloria Vanderbilt’s ten-year marriage to the conductor Leopold Stokowski.
