A fake report stating that Miley Cyrus was found dead in her L.A. home of a drug overdose this weekend sent fans in to a frenzy, as they scrambled to find out if the terrible news was true. It wasn’t!

The hoax was designed to spread bogus surveys that people can “make money” from, around the web.

Miley Cyrus isn’t dead of a drug overdose, and neither is Morgan Freeman, Adam Sandler, Taylor Lautner, or any other star who’s fallen prey to the fake death hoaxes that have become popular over the past few years.

Unfortunately, some people decide to kill off celebrities for “fun,” and when a star actually dies, fans prey that the news is fake.

Don’t worry Miley Cyrus fans, the singer is still alive and kicking. Just check her Twitter and Instagram accounts if you don’t believe us.
