Mass Demonic Possession? 100 Kids Reportedly Possessed In Peru

Mass demonic possession is making the world news today after nearly 100 children have simultaneously been reported suffering from frightening convulsions, screaming, hallucinations and fainting spells  dubbed as ‘mass demonic possession according to a new  report. Is this a hoax, or a sign?

Peru School Experiences Mass ‘Demonic Possession’

Terrifying video footage emerging online reveal an alleged  case of “mass demonic possession” at a school in Peru. Peruvian media reports reveal nearly 100 schoolchildren at the Elsa Perea-Flores School in Tarapoto, northern Peru, have been affected by an epidemic of “demonic possession.”

The children, ranging in ages between 11 and 14, experienced seizures, muscular convulsions, and fainting. Many claimed they saw visions of a “man in black” chasing them and trying to kill them by strangling causing such a panic that parents flocked to the school to rush their children to the hospital.

The mystery outbreak has been described by experts studying the bizarre case as “contagious mass hysteria.”  At this time, the experts are still unable to explain what triggered it. Some theories by unknown locals claim that it is  allegedly rumored that the school was built over a Mafia graveyard.

Some claim that when the school was being under construction, workers uncovered several graves containing bones of people who had been  reportedly tortured by a local Mafia. Paranormal investigator Franklin Steiner shared his thoughts on the outbreak stating,“It is known that years ago there were many victims of terrorism here. When this school was built, some say bones and dead bodies were found.”

Another theory states that residents believe the children may have been dabbling in the unknown playing games used to contact demons, such as Ouija board and or conducting seances. The first two children to take ill were first reported in April, with more than 80 students coming down with similar symptoms at the school this week according to health authorities who have been struggling in attempts to contain the epidemic.

“We don’t understand how this has kept on going on,” said Doctor Antony Choy, according to Peruvian Panamericana TV. “We know it started on 29th April and now it is still happening. Now there are almost 80 pupils [still affected].

One student witnessed another become ill at school saying, “It’s disturbing for me to think about it,” she said. “It’s as if someone kept on chasing me from behind. It was a tall man all dressed in black and with a big beard and it felt like he was trying to strangle me. My friends say I was screaming desperately, but I don’t remember much. Several children from different classrooms fainted at the same time,” a 13-year-old student said. “I got nauseous and started vomiting. I heard voices. A man in black chased me and wanted to touch me.”

Mass demonic possession, was  Ouija board to blame?

City residents are scared while they believe the children have been the victims of a “demonic attack,”  professional social psychologists and mental health experts say incidents such as these are brought on by , contagious hysteria, linked to fear and anxiety spreading within a group, such as students anxious about upcoming examinations.

As frightening as the situation sounds, other speculation regarding the bizarre incident could involvement some form of chemical ingestion based reactions or possible reaction to some form of drug ingested throughout the school. While the matter remains under investigation it is not the first case according to reports of similar mass hysteria outbreaks within schools.

Last April reports reveal at a school in Malaysia reveal authorities were forced to shut down the facility after several students and teachers claimed they saw a spirit or “black figure” lurking in halls and corridors. The reports caused fear, and symptoms of “demon possession” spread in the school. As yet, there has been no rational or official explanation for the phenomenon. This is the bizarre and horrific things that movies are made of.
