Jon Gosselin has filed for full custody of his son Collin Gosselin according to Pennsylvania court documents obtained by Radar Online.
Collin Gosselin, who has been living away from home for more than two years at a special needs behavioral treatment facility visited his dad, Jon Gosselin over the weekend for one of the rare times he has been granted permission to leave treatment for a family excursion.
However, court docs reveal that on October 24 Jon and his lawyer filed the official paperwork to begin the custody process asking for full legal and physical custody of his 14-year-old son. The paperwork states that Jon believes it is now in Collin’s best interest to live full-time with him following his release from the inpatient treatment center.
Sadly, Collin has been virtually “ghosted” from his family life with mom Kate Gosselin and sisters Mady, Cara, as well as being kept locked away from sextuplets siblings, Hannah, Alexis, Leah and brothers Aaden and Joel for more than two years. In 2016 Kate revealed that Collin suffered from “serious anger issues”and “frequently lashed out” posing a potential danger to his siblings while living at home.
Kate also revealed that Collin had been admitted to a treatment center for an unknown amount of time. Collin was not permitted according to his treatment plan to leave the facility to interact with his family.
Last Spring Jon obtained custody of his daughter Hannah, who has been residing with her father full time. Since Spring Jon and Hannah Gosselin have been visiting with Collin frequently and posting happy family photos together.
The new custody battle is bound to set off Kate once again. She has been fighting Jon every step of the way since obtaining custody of Hannah in hopes of modifying custody to her satisfaction.
Jon teased his followers about his possible new family living arrangement on Sunday, when he posted a sweet photo of himself with Hannah and a happy-looking Collin. He called the reunion a “weekend visit.”
During the home visit Gosselin also spent some quality father-son time with Collin taking him for a haircut. Fans have noted via social media that Hannah and Collin look happier than they have seen the kids in many years.
That has to be a bitter pill for controlling mom Kate Gosselin to swallow. Jon Gosselin added the final dagger aimed towards Kate by captioning the photo “Had a good weekend visit with Collin at home!”
