Loretta Lynn and family are mourning the sudden and shocking death of a very close family member. Radar Online reports that the family is devastated by the death of Loretta Lynn’s ex-daughter-in-law Cindy Plemmons.

Cindy Plemmons was the former wife, of Loretta Lynn’s son Ernest Ray, 59, reportedly died and died unexpectedly in her sleep at her Franklin, Tennessee home on Sunday, July 8 just hours after attending a concert at Lynn’s ranch.

Early on July 8, Lynn’s daughter-in-law was seen having a great time singing and dancing at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch during “Salute to Conway and Loretta” tribute show.

Loretta’s granddaughter and Plemons’ daughter, singer Tayla Lynn, headlined the show performing alongside Conway Twitty’s son Tre Twitty. Plemmon’s daughter Tayla broke down in tears as she confirmed her mother’s death on her Facebook page.  The sudden death of Tayla Lynn’s mom Cindy followed an exciting evening watching her daughter proudly perform with Conway Twitty’s grandson Tre Twitty.

As previously reported, Loretta  has suffered a number of serious health issues in the past few years. In 2017 the country music legend suffered a stroke which severely affected her speech. After several months of recuperation and rehab, Loretta Lynn, 86, has proven once again that she is not willing to let anything keep her from doing what she loves best, singing for her fans.  Loretta Lynn recently  announced she has been filming a music video for her new album.
