90s female band reunion show planned

4 Non Blondes are planning a one-night only reunion show in Los Angeles on May 10, and some fans are a little upset by the one -night only part.

Fans who were geared up by the news of a 4 Non blondes reunion show were pretty quickly stopped in their tracks after learning the reunion was just a one time only gig… for now anyway.

The 90s all female rock band will reunite to perform at “An Evening With Women” to benefit the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.

This has been a special interest for the 4 Non Blondes’ Linda Perry, the band’s former lead singer who, has produced the event for years.

Perry, who was recently married in a wedding ceremony to former Roseanne and The Talk’s co- host Sara Gilbert stated she tried to get other singers to perform, as she has done in the past, but “this year everybody’s off the market, everybody’s busy.”

This is what gave her the idea to call on her pals and former band mates.

4 Non Blondes May 10 one night only reunion

“The thought was kind of sweet. I was like, ‘Oh, why don’t I just for the night, just for this one event, one time only, call up the band and see if they want to be part of this?'” she said. “It’s perfect, actually. It actually makes sense to do it now.

“An Evening With Women” events have raised $4.1 million. Past performers include Christina Aguilera, Heart, Courtney Love, Ozzy Osbourne and Sia.

The 2014 May 10 event will feature comedienne Margaret Cho as this years host.

Fans of Perry can also look forward to Linda’s new VH1 reality show this July “The Linda Perry Project,” a reality show in which she searches for new acts for her record label.

For now, a full fledge reunion concert tour for the 4 Non Blondes is not in the works but who knows what the future may hold?
