It’s that spooky time of year again, and with Halloween right around the corner, everyone loves to curl up and watch a scary movie.

However, choosing the movie may be the difficult part as there are so many horror movies out there to watch this Halloween season. Below is a list of the must watch movies to see this Halloween

1.) Halloween – It’s a classic. Jamie Lee Curtis is perfect at the babysitter who’s stalked on Halloween night by Michael Myers. This madman escaped the mental hospital and stalked babysitters around Haddonfield, Illinois until he finally found his long-lost sister, Laurie Strode.

2.)  Nightmare on Elm Street – What’s scarier than a man with knives for fingers who can kill you in your sleep? Freddy Kruger is one of the most terrifying movie villains of all time. He stalks his victims’ dreams and kills them while they are sleeping.

3.) Friday The 13th – This classic teaches us why we should never goof around at camp after hours. Camp Crystal Lake is one spooky location, and whether it’s Friday The 13th or not, Jason Vorhees is so scary and has no remorse when it comes to his victims.

4.) The Exorcist – In one of the scariest movies of all time a little girl gets possessed by the devil himself, and what she does will give you nightmares! The movie is a classic horror film that has continued to terrify viewers for decades. The franchise was rebooted in 2023 with the movie “Exorcist: Believer.”

5.) Psycho – Alfred Hitchcock didn’t need too much blood and gore to give viewers a scare, just a great and scary plot! Norman Bates takes the term Mama’s Boy to a whole new level. He’s one of the creepiest and most disturbed horror movie characters in history. The movie even stemmed a super scary series “Bates Motel,” which is worthy of a good binge when you’re looking for a creepy TV session.

There you have it, five movies you must watch this Halloween with your friends, family, and more. They’re great to show at Halloween parties, during a casual movie night, or even when you’re home alone and bored. Just remember to keep the lights on or you may find yourself unable to sleep at night after the horrifying movie marathon.

Of course, it doesn’t have to be Halloween to appreciate a good horror movie fest. So, add these classics to your list for whenever you’re in a spooky mood.
