A New Clip From Star Wars: Andor Has Been Released And Fans Couldn’t Be More Excited

Cassian Andor

With Star Wars: Andor coming out in September of this year fans have been waiting very patiently for Cassian Andor to appear back on screen after his debut in Rouge One: A Star Wars Story.

For those of you who are not aware of who Cassian Andor is, he is one of if not the best spy the Rebel Alliance has and is one of Senator Bail Organa’s and Mon Monthma’s favorite Rebel operatives.

In the clip below Cassian Andor is talking to a client as Andor is selling the man stolen Imperial goods. As they are in the middle of a transaction the man asks Cassian Andor how he got these goods as Andor brushes the question off he replies by saying “You just walk in like you belong.” The clip is said to be from the three-episode premiere set to release on September 21st. You can see the clip as linked here.

When does Andor take place?

Andor is set to take place in 5 BBY which would be 5 years before the battle of Yavin aka the first Death Star. This also means it will take place 5 years before the events of Rouge One as Rouge One is in the year 0 BBY.

Andor’s first season will cover the first year leading up to Rouge One and will be 12 episodes long. The Second Season of Andor will also be 12 episodes long but it will cover the next four years as it all leads up to where we are introduced to Cassian Andor in Rouge One.

Andors’ showrunner has described the show as a novel. The first season will be seen through mid-September and season two is currently undergoing pre-production. Unlike a lot of other Star Wars shows like The Mandalorian, Andor will have two seasons and two seasons only.

Even if the show does extremely well and makes Disney a ton of money two seasons is all it will get. The writers have a story they want to tell and once that story is told they want the show to end.

Who is Cassian Andor?

Cassian Andor is a very interesting character as he is just a normal person. In Star Wars we see these great warriors and the fierce force-wielding beings but Cassian Andor is not super flashy or force sensitive. Andor is an everyday person fighting for a cause he believes in and that is a very refreshing take on the galaxy far far away.
