Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers’ Comments to Derwin James Go Viral

Aaron Rodgers, just a few short weeks after a nasty injury in his New York Jets debut is yet again making headlines. Rodgers just last night was out on the field before the Jets took on the Chargers. The Jets’ QB1 was throwing deep passes with a three-step drop-back. Rodgers looked great out there for someone who just tore their Achilles. Hollywood News Daily is here to elaborate on Rodgers’ viral football video.

Rodgers obviously didn’t play as he is still on injured reserve with an injury that usually takes 9 to 12 months to heal. There were some comments that Rodgers made after the game to Chargers player Derwin James that went viral in just minutes. James asked Rodgers when he would be back and surprisingly Rodgers replied by saying “Give me a few weeks”. According to CBSsports.com

Rodgers’ Bold Comment

Monday was also not the first time Aaron Rodgers has thrown passes since the injury. On the other hand, it was the first time he had shown confidence in using his leg repeatedly while throwing deep passes. Aaron has stated many times that he is ahead of schedule in his rehab and lately he has made some smaller gains in his recovery.

It has also been said by HQ injury expert, Marty Jaramillo that Rodgers is absolutely on pace for an unexpected return to action. This is being based on the visual evidence, like Rodgers’ movement without his crutches. Rodgers underwent a fairly new procedure that is meant to accelerate Achilles repair. That means he could be ready to play in 12-14 weeks after the surgery. Aaron Rodgers could potentially return as early as week 15 when the Jets head to Miami to take on Tua and the Dolphins.

Aaron Is Ahead Of Schedule

“It’s pretty obvious I’m well ahead of the normal protocols when it comes to rehab for this kind of thing,” Rodgers previously told “The Pat McAfee Show.” “[We’re] being as smart as possible, not trying to stress the Achilles but stretch the Achilles in a way that allows me to start doing movement quicker and to speed up whatever timeline has kind of been the standard for this type of injury.”

If Aaron Rodgers is able to come back and play this season it will go down as one of the craziest injury comebacks of all time. It will definitely be the fastest for an Achilles tear. Injuries like that have ended seasons, playoff runs, and even careers. They are no joke in any sport.

Take Kevin Durant for example. NBA Finals 2019, Warriors take on the Raptors. Durant was playing great until he went down with an Achilles tear. He was out until mid-season the next year with that injury.  What Rodgers is doing is nothing short of impressive. Love him or hate him, Aaron Rodgers is currently doing the impossible.
