Ahsoka fans! Rumors are flying that Book Of Boba Fett’s star, Temuera Morrison, may return to Star Wars in the upcoming series! Fans remember Morrison’s debut as the fan-favorite bounty hunter, Jango Fett. He then reappeared as all of the live-action clone troopers shared his face. After Morrison finally got his own show He also made a cameo as an old clone trooper in the Obi-wan Kenobi show, according to ComicBookMovie.com.
With the Ahsoka series set to come out in August of this year, who has Morrison been rumored to be playing? Well, with Ahsoka being an extension of Star Wars Rebels, we will see many of the characters in that show. Although this character may be extremely old in this story, Morrison has been rumored to be playing the legendary Captain Rex!
How Does This Affect The Greater Story?
This is a big moment for Star Wars as arguably the most famous clone trooper could be making his live-action debut! Even with Morrioson’s experience playing live-action clones, this one might prove to be more of a challenge. The fearless Captain of the 501st Clone Battalion has a very special background and connection to Ahsoka Tano.
With that being said, Morrison has voiced some complaints about how his show turned out and about not being able to make an appearance in The Mandalorian Season 3. The Book Of Boba Fett was not well-liked by most fans. This could be Temuera Morrison’s chance to get his redemption in the Star Wars universe.
For the fans that don’t know about Captain Rex, he was Anakin Skywalker’s First-in-command. Rex got to watch a young Ahsoka Tano grow and learn on her path to becoming a fearsome force wielder. Rex had his inhibitor chip removed by Ahsoka Tano during their escape from Order 66. Later, Rex would fight in the Galactic Civil War and through the Battle of Endor.
This Connects The Two Stories
Rex also makes an appearance in Star Wars Rebels. The much older clone helps Ahsoka Tano and a rebel cell called the Specters. Also known as the Ghost Crew, they included two Jedi Kannon Jaris and Ezra Bridger. Although Kannon met an unfortunate end, Ezra has been cast for the Ahsoka series.
With the possible return of Temuera Morrison to Star Wars fans seem to be excited. Especially since he would be playing a fan-favorite character. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, we can all be excited and have high hopes for many fans’ favorite Clone Trooper.
