Ahsoka Tano! A very prominent name in the Star Wars canon, and for good reason. From being Anakin Skywalker’s padawan to fighting the most powerful Sith Lords of her time. Ahsoka is finally getting her own TV series! Hollywood News Daily has everything fans need to know before watching Star Wars: Ahsoka.
What Is The Ahsoka Timeline?
One of the biggest questions is when does Ashoka take place? Thanks to Star Wars: The Mandalorian we have a pretty solid idea. Ahsoka Tano made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian Season 2. We now know that her show will be taking place during the events of The Mandalorian Season 3. Tano debuted in the Star Wars The Clone Wars movie back in 2008. It was there that she would become the padawan learning under the guidance of a young Anakin Skywalker.
Skywalker was the best general the Jedi had in the Clone Wars. Tano was able to learn a lot under the wing of the Jedi’s Chosen One. The relationship between Tano and Skywalker was one of a teacher and a student, but it also ran deeper than that. Their little arguments and the way they cared for each other was more of a sibling kind of love. Finally, After being framed for bombing the Jedi Temple and having the high council turn their backs on her, Ahsoka left Anakin and the Jedi Order.
It was from there that Tano would meet Bo Katan. Bo was a Mandalorian princess that needed the help of the Republic to retake her home from the former Sith Lord Darth Maul. This would be the first time Ahsoka and Anakin had seen each other in years. It would also be the last time they saw each other as old friends.
Star Wars Rebels Timeline
The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars took place during the events of Episode Three: Revenge Of The Sith. Ahsoka was able to capture Maul but he escaped in the madness of Order 66. Ahsoka is then forced to go into hiding. Just like many other force users, as the dark shadow of the Empire plagued the Galaxy.
Tano would not stay down for long though! She would become an informant for the budding Rebel Alliance. It is then we go into yet another animated show, Star Wars: Rebels. Taking place a few years before the Battle Of Yavin, Rebels is a crucial time in Ahsoka’s life. She meets two young Jedi, a master, and his padawan. Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger are part of a small Rebel cell. After many missions together Tano finds herself in the thick of it with her Jedi friends.
Ahsoka Will Be Taking Center Stage
While exploring an old Sith Temple Tano is forced to face off against Darth Vader. After slashing half of the dark lord’s mask off her worst fears come to a reality. It is in fact her old master, Anakin Skywalker. Rebels is a must-watch if you are to understand what is happening in the Ahsoka series. There will be characters from Rebels as well as the main objective being a continuation of Rebels. The Ahsoka series will be airing on August 22nd at 9:00 PM EST.
