Alex Trebek continues his brave battle against stage four pancreatic cancer hoping for a positive outcome. Weeks after the “Jeopardy” game show host received the devastating stage four cancer diagnosis Alex has also begun taking measures to tie up loose ends and get his estate in order according to the National Enquirer.
While Alex Trebek is doing everything in his power to fight cancer while keeping a positive attitude, deep down Alex realizes he has a big fight on his hands, one that usually ends quite grimly for those affected. In an effort to get his affairs in order Trebek recently put his beloved lake house on the market. Those close to Alex reveal that he is no “quitter” but, sadly realizes that his remaining time on earth is limited and wants to do everything in his power now to make things easier for his wife Jean and children Matthew and Emily.
“Alex is not a quitter, but he knows that this is a fight he cannot win. He’s getting his affairs in order,” an insider reportedly told the tabloid. As previously reported, Trebek announced publicly back in March that he had been diagnosed with deadly cancer saying, “I plan to beat the low survival rates for this disease.”
On April 17, while taping the last day of the current season, Alex said, “I’m feeling good, I’m continuing with my therapy.”
Alex is also a practical man and knows all too well that the survival rates are very low and just wants to make sure he has done everything he can to tie up his loose ends before he may become too ill to deal with them.
Some celebrities that were also diagnosed with pancreatic cancer besides Alex Trebek include film legend Joan Crawford, Aretha Franklin, Fred Gwynne, Michael Landon, Pernell Roberts and Patrick Swayze to mention a few. Our thoughts and well wishes are with Alex Trebek as he continues his courageous fight with stage four pancreatic cancer.
