Sami Brady is coming back to Salem. Actress Alison Sweeney has been confirmed to return to “Days of Our Lives” later this year to help the NBC soap celebrate its 50th anniversary.

The Inquisitr reports that TV Guide reporter Michael Logan spoke with Ken Corday, producer and son of “Days of Our Lives” co-creators, who confirmed that Sami Brady would be coming home, at least for awhile, later this year.

Huge 50th Anniversary Celebration Planned
“Days of Our Lives” fans immediately began to rejoice at this news. Viewers know that Sami left Salem with her children for Hollywood after the death of her husband, EJ DiMera, played by actor James Scott. Both Sweeney and Scott left the soap at the end of 2014 to much fan disappointment.
As previously reported by Hollywood News Daily, other fan favorite characters such as Bo Brady and Steve “Patch” Johnson, played by Peter Reckell and Stephen Nichols will return along with many others who were and still are a huge part of the “Days of Our Lives” family.
More details are sure to come, but for now fans are excited to hear Sami Brady will return in the near future.
