Alison tweeted a photo of herself holding a new “Days of Our Lives” script, and fans have already begun to speculate on what her reason for returning to Salem may be.
Will Sami Brady come home to help her son, Will Horton, through his messy split with husband Sonny Kiriakis. As previously reported by Hollywood News Daily, actor Freddie Smith, who plays Sonny, has exited the show, meaning he and Will will obviously split. Is this where Sami comes in?

Meanwhile, other former “Days of Our Lives” characters have also agreed to return. Peter Reckell will return to Salem as Bo Brady, Stephen Nichols will reprise his role as Steve “Patch” Johnson, and Theresa’s mother Kim will also make another return to the soap.
On Sunday, “Days” won the Daytime Emmy for “Best Drama Series,” tying with soap powerhouse “The Young and The Restless.” During the ceremony, a tribute to commemorate the soap’s 50th anniversary was also played much to fans delight.
