Amber Heard and Johnny Depp were once considered one of Hollywood’s best looking couples. However, since the news of their divorce, and the allegations of Johnny’s alleged abuse against his wife, has been thrust into the media, it is getting harder for the actor to come out of this looking good.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp Abuse Allegations Heat Up
Shortly after it was announced that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had split, and that the “Magic Mike XXL” actress had filed for divorce, rumors began to fly that Johnny had a pattern of abuse with Amber.
Soon after photos of Heard with physical injuries such as black eyes were released online. Amber Heard then filed for a temporary restraining order against her soon-to-be ex-husband, and was granted the protection order.
Rumors of Amber trying to blackmail Johnny for money and other tabloid gossip quickly ensued, but Heard kept her head held high, even as she stepped out with a bruise under her eye for all the paparazzi to see.
Wet Paint reports that a source close to Amber Heard recently revealed that the alleged abuse by Johnny Depp was so bad that he nearly killed the actress by strangling her with a pillow.
“I got to her apartment to find her with a cut and bruised lip, a swollen eye and a chunk of hair missing from the top of her head. She confided in me that day that she feared for her life after an intoxicated Johnny tried to suffocate her with a pillow. I have personally witnessed the aftermath of Johnny Depp’s violent and abusive behavior towards her on many occasions.”
Can Johnny Recover From This?
Johnny Depp’s children, as well as their mother, Vanessa Paradis, have spoken out in support of the actor, but the “evidence” seems to be mounting against him. This week, alleged text messages between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s assistant, a man named Stephen, were revealed, as the assistant admitted to Johnny’s abuse, and apologized for the star.
“When I told him he kicked you he cried. It was disgusting and he knows it,” one text from the assistant read. He’s a little lost boy and needs all the help he can get. He is so very sorry, as he should be,” another message read.
“He’s done this many times before,” Amber replied to Stephen, “and I always stay.” Meanwhile, Heard has never filed any police reports against Depp, which is allegedly because was because she wanted to protect him from the embarrassment and bad press. Unfortunately for Johnny, there seems to be no more protection against that for him now.
It looks like this divorce is going to continue to get messier, and could cause some serious backlash for Depp, who has stayed relatively quiet about the situation thus far.
