Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood Escapes Lengthy Jail Sentence

“Teen Mom OG” star Amber Portwood will not be serving jail time following her recent July 5 domestic violence arrest according to The Ashley.

Amber Portwood appeared in court on Thursday for sentencing. However, things went rather smoothly for Amber after accepting a plea deal, which she reportedly signed last Friday according to the publication.

All felony charges against Amber pertaining to her physical attack on Andrew Glennon have been dropped or pleaded down to a lesser offense except one.

The judge did order that Portwood serves 910 days in jail, but suspended 906 days, allowed two days credit for time served in July leaving Amber with just two days to serve. It is not known at this time as to when or if Amber will be serving the 48 hours left hanging over her head.

Portwood was ordered a pretty heavy probation for 906 days with harsh stipulations. During this time Amber is forbidden to leave Marion County, Indiana, or the state unless she has received prior permission for employment purposes only.

There is also to be no contact between Amber and Andrew except through Our Family Wizard custody app, and then they are only permitted to discuss details about their son James. The only time Glennon and Portwood are permitted to see each other is during custody exchanges.

Amber Portwood’s probation stipulations also include that she attend court-ordered parenting classes, as well as an extensive Battery Intervention Program.

During this time Amber must also provide access to her PO to all of her mental health treatment records. She will also submit to a urinalysis, random urine and breath testing at least once a month.

As previously reported this is not Amber Portwood’s first offense. Considering her troubled past Amber should consider herself quite fortunate this go around.

Concerning her employment status, well it appears that for the time being Amber Portwood will remain a cast member on the popular MTV hit reality series Teen Mom OG. We wish Amber all the best.
