‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: The Clown Killer
Co-creator Ryan Murphy is revealing that the fourth season of the FX series is going to be very dark, and feature a character called “The Clown Killer,” which Murphy says is the “most terrifying clown ever.” (Hasn’t he seen Stephen King’s ‘It?’)
Ryan revealed that doing “American Horror Story: Freak Show” was an idea that he’s been toying with for years, and of course, Jessica Lange loved it!

“It was always a concept that Jessica and I talked about really early on,” Ryan Murphy told EW. “It was always her favorite one, which I thought was funny. I’ve had many different versions that I’ve run by her. I just love it. It feels really right. I thought it was going to be light but it’s turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark, which it feels much more like the Asylum season. But look — if you have a character named the Clown Killer, it’s going to be dark.”
