“American Horror Story” Season 12 is on the way. The FX horror anthology series has already been renewed for Seasons 12 and 13, per Newsweek. Most recently, the show aired its eleventh season titled “NYC,” which featured a storyline about a serial killer who was hunting down gay men in The Big Apple. The show also featured heavy themes of illness and death. The show got mixed reviews from fans, with some thinking it was a brilliant depiction of the struggles of the gay community and others feeling like the season wasn’t on par with past seasons.

“American Horror Story NYC was by far one of the saddest most brutal tastes of reality for a particular era in history. I like how they presented it. No glamor just a sad horrific truth,” one viewer tweeted. “That, my friends, was some of the best TV I’ve ever seen. I’ll leave it to you to watch. Simply amazing,” another commented. “I’ll put this season in the middle. Not the best and not the worst. Plenty of room for improvement when they start planning season 12,” another wrote. “Season 11 was not the best there were moments where it was alright but ultimately was the second to last weakest season,” another stated.

American Horror Story has been renewed for Season 12

With “NYC” in the books, fans are now already putting in requests for what they want the theme of Season 12 to be. Every year, fans get excited for the announcement of the new “American Horror Story” theme and don’t hesitate to share their thoughts about what they’d like to see. Although Season 11 just ended, viewers have already started to weigh in with their suggestions.

“Honestly we need a wild west season,” one person commented. “I really hope a season about dark mermaids and Emma Roberts being the lead along with the rest of the girls of the AHS franchise,” another viewer tweeted. “Werewolves or pirates,” said another. “Jamestown & cannibalism,” a fourth social media user wrote.

Could Sarah Paulson or Evan Peters return to American Horror Story?

It’s likely that the show’s creator Ryan Murphy already has some sort of idea about what he’ll be portraying in the upcoming season, and casting will be the big question when it becomes time to film. Over the years, many beloved actors like Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, and many others have portrayed characters on the series, and fans all have their favorites that they’d like to see return to the series.

While nothing concrete has been announced about “American Horror Story” Season 12, fans will simply have to wait for updates about the upcoming season, which will likely begin airing in the fall of 2023.
