‘American Horror Story’ Season 7 spoilers reveal new election theme
“American Horror Story” Season 7’s theme has finally been revealed. The show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, recently revealed that the the upcoming season will primarily focus on the horrible 2016 election that the country was forced to endure last year.
According to the Inquisitr, Ryan Murphy announced the big “American Horror Story” Season 7 theme news while sitting down for an interview with Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live.” Andy seemed surprised by the reveal, and so were “AHS” fans.
“Well, I don’t have a title, but the season that we begin shooting in June is going to be about the election that we just went through. So I think that will be interesting for a lot of people,” Ryan Murphy told Andy Cohen, who then asked if Donald Trump would be portrayed during Season 7. “Maybe,” was all Murphy had to say about the possibility of the current president being a character on “American Horror Story” Season 7.
Fans are confused
Meanwhile, many “American Horror Story” fans are completely surprised, and confused, by Ryan Murphy’s idea for Season 7. The theme doesn’t seem to fit the type of horror the show has been giving fans for over six years. In addition, all of the seasons of “AHS” are reportedly connected somehow, and viewers can’t seem to figure out how a season on a real-life election would connect to the show’s previous seasons, “Murder House,” “Asylum,” “Coven,” “Freak Show,” “Hotel,” and “Roanoke.”
While not many details have been revealed about “American Horror Story” Season 7, it has been confirmed that beloved cast members Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will return for the new batch of episodes that will begin filming this summer. Fans can be on the look out for the new episodes to begin airing sometime this fall.
