“Sex and The City” fans will obviously remember Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, which she picked out in the first feature film. In the movie, Carrie and John a.k.a. Mr. Big plan a lavish wedding, complete with tons of guests and Carrie’s stunning dress. However, Big can’t handle the pressure of the big wedding and ends up leaving Carrie at the altar in a heartbreaking moment. Now, during Season 2 of “And Just Like That,” Carrie is slipping back into her gorgeous wedding gown, per People Magazine.
On November 3, actress Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted filming “And Just Like That” Season 2 while wearing Carrie’s wedding dress, including her vivid blue feather headpiece. However, this time around, Carrie didn’t don her elaborate veil, and ditched her nude pumps in favor for matching blue heels. She also wore blue gloves and a matching wrap.
Sarah Jessica Parker rocks Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic wedding gown for Season 2 of ‘And Just Like That’
Fans have no idea why Carrie is rocking her wedding dress while walking the streets of New York City. However, she may be paying tribute to her late husband, John, whom fans watched tragically die from a heart attack during Season 1 of the “Sex and The City” prequel series. There’s also the possibility that Carried decided to rock the gown for a very special event or occasion, or that she may also be walking down the aisle again. However, it doesn’t seem likely that Carrie’s ready to tie the knot again so soon after losing Big.
In addition, Carrie is flying solo in the wedding gown pics. There are no signs of her best friends Charlotte York (Kristen Davis) or Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) in the snaps. Although at the end of Season 1, Charlotte was dealing with her daughter’s gender identity and Miranda had divorced her husband Steve in order to enter into a serious relationship with comedian Che Diaz. Of course, Carrie’s other bestie Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) is still off the canvas as the actress wasn’t asked to return for the series.
