And Just Like That Season 3 is upon us. However, Season 2 ended on an odd note. For the second half of the season, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) has been gushing over her love for her former boyfriend Aidan (John Corbett). The two moved very quickly into old patterns. Carrie met Aidan’s children, and the two planned to move in together. However, it wasn’t long before drama ensued. Aidan’s youngest son, Wyatt, began to act out and changed everything.

In the Season 2 finale, Aidan is seen telling Carrie that he can’t continue to commute from Virginia to New York on the weekends. Instead, he needs to be close to Wyatt to help him with all of his issues. Carrie understands, but she is devastated. She just sold her apartment and bought a house for them to live in. However, Aidan has a ridiculous idea.

And Just Like That Season 3 spoilers suggest more drama for Carrie and Aidan

Instead of losing Carrie again, he decides that he wants her to wait for him for five years. Aidan says that he has to be with Wyatt throughout his teenage years, but after that he wants to build a life with her. Shockingly, Carrie agrees to the deal. However, it seems absurd to expect her to wait five years for him, right?

Showrunner Michael Patrick King recently told Variety what to expect in Season 3 of “And Just Like That” where Carrie and Aidan are concerned. “It gives us more story. It gives us an open end,” he said. King added, “It gives us a complicated problem. It gives us space. It gives Carrie a big thing to think about, you know what I mean?” he said. “What it gives us is a problem that we have to figure out: how Carrie Bradshaw finds her way through this to love.”

AJLT has been renewed at Max

“They were still very much connected at the end. The way they played it was it wasn’t tragic. And they were still very much alive, and they had that whole night where they laughed and cried and made love, or did whatever they did. But it ended kind of in a grown-up understanding of here’s where we are,” King added.

Recently, “And Just Like That” was renewed for Season 3. However, it remains to be seen if Aidan will be part of the landscape going forward or if Carrie will find other romances along the way.
