Andor Season 2 is almost upon us, and fans seem pretty excited to dive right in. However, before the second and final season airs, there are many questions regarding the series. Andor was a very surprising win for Disney Star Wars. Since the sequel trilogy, the fandom has been divided. Andor was one of the shows that helped bridge the gap. However, despite the show’s success, some may need a small recap before jumping into season two.
According to Tech Radar, Disney+ will begin streaming Andor Season 2 on Tuesday, April 22nd. The release schedule has also been announced. Episodes one through three will air on Tuesday, the 22nd. Episodes four through six will air on April 29th. Then the calendar shifts to May. May 6th is when episodes seven through nine will launch. Then, finally, on May 13th, the final two episodes will air. Episodes 10 through 12 will mark the series’s finale of Star Wars’ Andor series. This upcoming season has been confirmed to mark the end of the show as well as be a direct prequel to the movie Rogue One. Rogue One was an extremely beloved Star Wars movie from 2016. It was the first Disney-made film in the franchise and followed Cassian Andor and his crew as they attempt to steal the plans for the dreaded Death Star.
Andor Season 1 Recap: Star Wars is Back!
Season one of Andor was a huge hit with most fans. The dark and gritty vibes of a galaxy controlled by Darth Sidious’ Empire brought a fresh feeling into what some could call a stagnant franchise. Season one followed Cassian Andor in the year 5BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin). It is there when the fan favorite character would take his first step into a larger world of rebellion. Cassian is able to meet many interesting characters throughout season one. It was all the steps in Cassian Andor’s journey to become the beloved Rebel Alliance spy fans see in Rogue One.
Season 2 of Andor is sure to be action-packed. Many fans who were not too happy with the first season seemed to wish for more action. However, what would a war be without politics? While the fighting is sure to rage on, the Galactic Senate is on the verge of collapse. Season 2 will seemingly have the mix of plot and action that won over the prequel trilogy fans years ago.
Andor Season 2 has been one of the highest anticipated Star Wars projects in recent memory. Especially in Lucasfilm’s TV show era. However, that has not stopped some fans from dissing the show online. Although overall, the fan base seems to enjoy Cassian’s story. Andor Season 2 is set to stream on Disney+ starting Tuesday, April 22nd. Cassian Andor is almost back and is ready to take on the Empire any way he can. However, for now, fans will have to wait just a little longer.
