Apex Legends Bans Over 2,000 Players Do To Dashboarding Exploit

The popular battle royal game Apex Legends have recently begun a crackdown on cheaters in the ranked leagues of the game. As confirmed by a member of the security team at Respawn Entertainment Conor Ford, Apex players have been exploiting the game’s dashboarding systems.

For those of you who do not know there is a safety net put in place to protect players who dashboard during a game of ranked. Dashboarding includes lagging out of the game or server issues. But there have been a lot of players forcibly Dashboarding if a match seems hopeless. They do this so there is no loss in RP (ranked points).

Apex has had enough of the cheaters and this morning permanently banned over 2,000 players who thought they could cheat their way up the ranks going into season ten. “Given its larger install base, the number of users on PlayStation 4 banned for the offense is exponentially higher than others. While the figure attached to PC may come as a surprise, it’s worth noting that dashboarding is much harder to consistently pull off on the platform,” reports We Got This Covered.

Apex Legends fans surprised by latest news

The Apex community has been all riled up due to the incident that occurred this week but they are very thankful that Respawn Entertainment took care of the problem swiftly and justly. There is no room for cheaters in games like this or in any game to be precise. Apex is one of those games where the players take pride in being a high rank and good at the game. When a group of people come and exploit a system that is meant to keep the game fair there is no other punishment more fitting than a permanent ban.

With the launch of season ten of Apex Legends fans and people in the Apex community are very happy that Respawn did not let this issue drag on into the new ranked season. Now players van grind season ten ranked without having to worry about others cheating and forcefully Dashboarding if a match is lost.

The new season brings a lot of stuff to the game for the community to enjoy and it will be interesting to see how all the new stuff affects the game and the players. But for right now we can all just enjoy the new season and have fun playing the game knowing that Respawn Entertainment has gotten rid of the cheaters for now.
