Apex Legends Developers Say Returning Feature Will Not Be Overpowered

If you were one of the many players who played Apex Legends all the way back in season two you probably remember Disruptor rounds. If you do not remember or did not play season two let me explain them to you. Disruptor rounds are specifically made to punch through shields. They do high damage and increase the fire rate of the weapon. They are also a hop-up for the Alternator SMG.

Apex Legends developers have stated that since the Alternator is going into the care package they are giving it Disruptor rounds. Fans have had their doubts about the hop up returning and rightfully so. Obviously there was a reason that they took it out of the game in the first place, and that would be because it was too strong and threw off the weapon balance in the game. Developers have stated “that the potency has been toned down to around 40% for Season 10,” per We Got This Covered.

With the hop-up being nerfed it is always a possibility that it still might be too strong. With season ten just being released it will be hard to tell until players get a few hours of playtime under their belts using the Disruptor rounds. One thing Respawn Entertainment is good at is cycling the metas in their game. There is never a gun that is clearly more dominant than the other for very long and the same goes for the legends.

Latest update on Apex Legends new season

Apex Legends’ new season seems to be going smoothly so far and hopefully it continues to go smoothly as we move deeper and deeper into the season. Only time will tell if the return of Disruptor rounds will be an issue but since the Alternator is now care package loot they will be very hard to get your hands on as well as the Spitfire LMG.

But all we can do for now is wait and see how the community will react once we get further into season ten. For the most part, it seems a large part of the community is happy with the changes that season 10brought but there will always be some people that are unhappy with it. Again all we can do is wait and see where Apex Legends goes next. It is sure to be interesting whatever happens and Respawn will take care of the rest like they usually do.
