Apex Legends Developers Underplay Octane Buff

Apex Legends video game

Every Apex Legends fan’s favorite adrenaline junkie Octane was introduced way back in season 7 of the popular battle royal game and a recent buff may have been more impactful than the developers said it was. It seems instead of Octane regenerating 0.5 health points per second with his passive ability he in fact regenerates a full 1 health point per second.

Apex developers have been great about letting everything be known when they change something in the game but this has seemed to slip their minds. According to We Got This Covered, “Somewhere along the line, however, incorrect information has been provided, as when comparing the numbers provided the latter’s regen passive is actually closer to 1.5 health points per second”.

Since this was discovered players have been very vocal in their concerns as this may make the legend too powerful and create an unfair advantage for those that use Octane. Even with the social media noise from this situation, Respawn Entertainment has yet to make a statement about it. This makes it very unclear if Octane is performing how he was intended to or if this was all a big error waiting to be corrected in a future update. Either way, Respawn Entertainment needs to make a statement to clear up all the confusion in their game’s community.

Apex news has fans talking

Octane is already one of the most popular legends in the game and if he got this much of a buff sooner or later everyone will be wanting to play as him. That being said it can’t be good for the game to give one character an advantage over all the others and Respawn needs to do something about it. With season 10 right around the corner and a new legend coming out understandably the developers are busy but this is an incident that can not be ignored for much longer.

Apex Legends has had a crazy month so far with the hacking, the release of a new heirloom item for Revenant, and two special events. This kind of issue is the last thing they need to be ignoring right now especially when fans are asking them to at least acknowledge the problem.

That being said, this Octane buff could have been all intended. Apex and its developers could have meant for his passive to gain this much speed and healing ability. Either way, something needs to be done or the game could be in trouble.
