News that should come as a surprise to literally no one even if they only have a few minutes of Apex Legends season 10 under their belt is that the new recon legend Seer has the highest pick rate out of all the legends in season 10.
Seer has the ability to see any player’s location and health that is within a certain range of him for eight seconds. His ability also cancels any healing, revives, and abilities when it hits players. It comes without a shock that he is the highest-picked legend in the new season.
“For contrast, the next-closest pick is Octane at 14% followed by the ever-popular Wraith at 10%. Considering how consistently strong the latter two have proven to be since launch, Seer trumping both so early into the season is representative of his power. For further perspective, on the other end of the scale sits Crypto, Wattson and Rampart, all of which have pick rates of less than 2%.,” reports We Got This Covered.
Apex Legends fans love Seer
Seer’s abilities at first glance do not seem too powerful and almost resemble Bloodhound’s abilities. But Bloodhound can not see players’ health or stop them from healing. Players that are hit with Seer’s ability also lose sight for about one second and by that time the fight could already be lost. Apex Legends developers have confirmed that a nerf to the overpowered legend is on the way but no one knows for sure when it will get here.
By the time it gets here Seer could have already affected so many players ranked points it might be too late. The Apex Legends community is very upset at Respawn Entertainment for misleading them about how strong Seer would be and about his abilities. If something is not done fast the game could be headed in a very bad direction.
It will be very interesting to see how much Seer gets nerfed to be able to balance out the Legends. Fans are assuming it will have to be a pretty big nerf to get the game back into check but it could also just be a small adjustment. Either way anything at all needs to be done and it needs to be done quickly so that Seer does not have an unfair advantage against all the other legends. But for right now the Apex legends community will have to wait and see what Respawn Entertainment does to fix their game.
