Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis‘ former co-star and close friend Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life this week. The “That 70s Show” star was handed down a serious sentence after being convicted of sexual assault crimes. Meanwhile, several people gave statements about Masterson in court, and Kutcher and Kunis were two people who offered support to their friend.
According to Hello! Magazine, Ashton and Mila both wrote letters to the court in support the actor. The full letters were not revealed. However, it has been reported that Kutcher called Masterson a “role model” in his correspondence. Meanwhile, Kunis commented on her former co-star’s “exceptional character.”
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis offered their support to Danny Masterson
It’s no secret that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have been close with Danny Masterson over the years. The trio all starred together on “That 70s Show” in their younger years. After Kutcher tied the knot with Kunis, he and Masterson went on to star together on the Netflix series “The Ranch.” However, Masterson was later written off of the show due to his sexual assault allegations.
Throughout it all, Kutcher has been adamant about supporting Masterson. In early 2023, the actor spoke out about his friend’s legal situation. “I don’t want him to elude the law, but I wish for the truth to show he’s innocent,” Kutcher told Esquire (via Rolling Stone). However, he did claim that he couldn’t comment about whether or not his friend was guilty or innocent. “I can’t know… I’m not the judge, the jury, the DA, the victim, or the accused. I’m in no position to comment. I genuinely don’t know,” he added.
