The Milwaukee Bucks had a great opportunity to take control of this series in Tuesday’s Game 4 with Atlanta’s star player Trae Young out with a bone bruise but they did not capitalize to take the series lead. The Bucks fell to the Hawks in Game 4 110 to 88. One big takeaway from the game last night was Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo left the game and did not return after he seemingly hyperextended his knee trying to deflect a lob pass to Capela.

“Grimacing in obvious pain, Giannis crumpled to the ground on the baseline. He stayed down for some time under the attention of the Bucks’ medical staff and slowly made his way to his feet with the support of trainers and his brother, Thanasis. Eventually, Giannis was able to hobble off the court and into the tunnel. There was a brief glimmer of hope when he returned to the bench a few minutes later, but he soon made his way back to the locker room and did not return,” CBS Sports reports.

Lou Williams steps up for Atlanta

On Atlanta’s side of things, Lou Williams stepped up in the absence of Hawks star Trae Young, scoring a game-high 21 points and led six Hawks to score in double figures.  The three-time sixth man of the year award winner arrived in Atlanta via a mid-season trade and has done wonders for them off the bench. Lou has never started in a postseason game before but you would not be able to tell that by looking at his performance last night scoring 21 points with 8 assists and 5 rebounds. He was also the driving force for the Hawks’ big win.

Atlanta has to feel good moving forward with the series tied and getting the job done without their star player and with Antetokounmpo’s status for Game 5 unknown this could be the push they needed for a Finals appearance.

Now with the series all tied up as the teams will head back to Milwaukee and Giannis may likely be ruled out for Game 5.  Trae Young’s status for Game 5 is also up in the air, and it will be interesting to see what these two teams will do if neither have their star players.

Can the Bucks muster some kind of an emotional game like the Hawks did in Game 4 or will they go down 3-2 in the series? We will have to wait until Game 5 to find out who will take the series lead but it’s sure to be a wild ride.
