Baltimore Ravens' TE Mark Andrews

Baltimore Ravens: TE Mark Andrews Expected to Not Be Activated

Playoff football is finally back, as the Baltimore Ravens are set to take on the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional round. With that being said the Raven seemingly will be without their star TE Mark Andrews. After going down in week 11 to an ankle injury, Andrews has not played since. This is a heavy loss to a dangerous Baltimore offense, but Lamar Jackson may be able to get it done without his TE. Hollywood News Daily is here with the full story.

Andrews’ Return

Going back to a Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Andrews would suffer an ankle injury that would turn out to be a cracked fibula as well as damage to a ligament. It was originally thought to be season-ending, but Mark has been working hard to be able to return and help his team make a deep playoff run according to CBSsports.com. Andrews was officially listed as questionable for the game against the Texans, but Baltimore wants to play it safe and will wait to activate the big TE.

This season Mark Andrews caught 45 passes for 544 yards and 10 touchdowns. Isaiah Likely has stepped up in Andrews’ absence with 21 catches, 322 yards and 5 touchdowns. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh stated that Andrew’s status was “still up in the air” earlier in the week. Harbaugh was encouraged by Mark’s participation in practice, but it’s safer in the long run to keep him out one more game at least.

Ravens Vs. Texans

The Baltimore Ravens will be facing the Houston Texans. Houston is coming off a commanding win against Joe Flacco and the severely injured Cleveland Browns. CJ Stroud showed that he deserves to be in the playoffs after his great performance in that wildcard game. The odds are now heavily in the favor of the Baltimore Ravens. Stroud, now has yet another chance to show the world he is an elite QB.

It is the rookie vs. the vet in an AFC battle. A trip to the AFC championship is on the line. Will one number once-seeded Baltimore Ravens continue their dominance? Or will CJ Stroud dismantle the Super Bowl favorites? It all happens on Saturday, as this is what fans have waited all season long for! Playoff football is in full swing! Lamar Jackson looks to get his Ravens to the AFC Championship game. Can he finally do it? Only time will tell as NFL fans around the world wait patiently for this matchup.
