Affleck, who is fresh off of his divorce with second wife, Jennifer Lopez, certainly appeared to be happier than ever as he and Garner went out for a cute family date with their teenage son, Samuel. During the outing, the pair seemingly couldn’t keep their eyes, or their hands, off of each other.
Over the weekend, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were photographed playing paintball with their son. The exes have been known to have a great co-parenting relationship and an even closer friendship. Despite their past divorce, they have cultivated a loving relationship as ex-spouses. However, it seems that there could be more to the story. Now that Ben is officially single and has left his marriage to JLo in the dust, could there be hope for a reunion with Jen?

Sources tell Page Six that Affleck “would love another chance” at love with Garner. The actress has previously referred to her former husband as the love of her life. However, there is one major hurdle standing in the way of their possible romantic reunion. Jen has been dating businessman John Miller for years. While the two don’t have a very public romance, they do seem to still be together.
“Ben knows it’s just not realistic at this time in their lives. [He] just got out of a marriage and finalized his divorce. He is really busy with work and is focused on this new chapter. Plus Ben respects Jen’s relationship with John and would never come between them,” an insider dished.
While Affleck may want a fresh start with Garner, she’s allegedly not into it. Sources claim that the feeling “is not mutual” and that Jen is “happy with John.” However, the photos of she and Ben embracing, staring into each other’s eyes, and smiling may tell a different story.
Why Did Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Divorce?
Ben and Jen got married in 2005. They were together for ten years and welcomed three children together, Violet, Fin, and Samuel. In 2015 they announced their split. However, the pair remained close, and Garner even helped Affleck through his alcohol abuse issues, driving him to rehab (via People).
Affleck’s alcohol issues were thought to be a part of why the couple divorced. However, rumors that Ben may have had an affair with the couple’s nanny also ran wild at the time.
Will Bennifer Ever Reunite?
The Daily Mail reports that Garner is leery of even considering a romantic reunion with Affleck. She’s allegedly “deathly afraid” of having her heart broken by her baby daddy yet again.
“She loves Ben but is worried that he will crush her all over again,” the source said. “She doesn’t want to heal another broken heart because it is just too much drama, plus she does not want their kids to see round two of their mom in a bad place with their dad. So much could go wrong if they reunite.”
Only time will tell if Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner will ever decide to give their relationship another shot. For now, fans are left wondering what’s really going on between the exes.
