The former talk show host will go back to the show that sparked her career, and producers are hoping that Bethenny Frankel’s return will boost ratings for the struggling show. “Bringing her back is a last ditch effort,” an insider dished.
Bethenny Frankel will benefit from the “Real Housewives of New York” return as well, as she’ll be able to promote her Skinny Girl line, which includes cocktails, shapewear, and books.
Frankel left “RHONY” back in 2010 just after her daughter, Brynn, was born. She said she didn’t see “any reason to go back” after fighting with longtime friend Jill Zarin and rival Kelly Bensimon.
Bethenny’s crazy post ‘RHONY’ life
Since leaving “The Real Housewives of New York,” Bethenny Frankel got married to the father of her daughter, Jason Hoppy, which spawned a Bravo spin-off, “Bethenny Getting Married,” and two seasons of “Bethenny Ever After.”
However, Bethenney Frankel and Jason Hoppy called it quits in 2012, and were involved in a bitter divorce and custody battle.
Since Bethenny left “RHONJ” the cast has changed a lot. Only LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer remain of the original housewives, and it will be interesting to see how Frankel fits in with the new cast members.
