“Big Brother” Season 24 is just getting started, but the reality TV show is already been full of drama. In addition to the brand new backstage twist, alliances and secrets have already started. One of the houseguests who has been in the middle of it all has been Paloma Agular.
During what was supposed to be the first live eviction of the season, it was revealed that Paloma had been struggling inside the house. In a series of clips, Paloma revealed to her fellow housemates that she was dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety and getting next to no sleep.
Paloma exits ‘Big Brother’ 24 due to personal reasons
At one point, Paloma was seen entering the diary room and crashing on the sofa in front of the camera. She never returned to the house. Later, Head of Household Daniel opened a memo for the group and tearfully revealed that Paloma was evicting herself from the house.
“Due to a personal matter, Paloma will no longer be continuing in the Big Brother game,” he read. “She wanted to pass along that she loves you all and wishes you all the best” (via TV Insider).
Paloma’s exit changed the game for the rest of the houseguests
Many of the houseguests began to cry over Paloma’s exit, but were happy that she was prioritizing her mental health and doing what was best for her. Due to Paloma’s departure, the backstage twist — which was that one of the people on the block and one of the backstage pass holders would compete to be saved from eviction — no one was evicted.
Instead, the houseguests competed for a chance to play in the upcoming Head of Household competition. Only seven members of the group advanced and will play for the Head of Household title in the next episode.
Taylor was also in the hot seat before Paloma evicted herself
In addition to all of the drama surrounding Paloma’s wellbeing, “Big Brother” fans also watched as tensions ran high with Taylor, who was stunned to be named as a replacement and put on the block. Taylor couldn’t understand what she had done to upset her fellow co-stars after Paloma rallied for her to be evicted due to her lack of affiliation with the rest of the girls in the house, per E! Online.
Thankfully, for Taylor she survived the week and even won the chance to compete for Head of Household next week. As for “Big Brother” fans, they wish Paloma the best following her exit from Season 24.
