Billy Joel Hobbles Off Stage Following Terrifying Fall: ‘This Is Very Concerning’

At age 75, music legend Billy Joel still puts on an energetic show for his fans. However, during a recent performance at the Mohegan Sun resort in Connecticut, the Uptown Girl hitmaker gave his fans quite a scare when he suddenly took a nasty tumble on stage.

The crowd was fully engaged in singer Billy Joel’s performance of his hit song Still Rock and Roll to Me when Joel seemingly got a little too ambitious and tripped himself up after throwing his microphone. The audience gasped in shock as the singer lost his footing and fell flat on his back, hard on the stage.

Billy Joel was described by some fans as frail-looking during his show. But when he tumbled to the ground, his fans were left fearing the worst. Billy’s band members quickly ran to the singer in a state of panic to assist in helping him up from the floor.

Joel’s fans watched in horror as the singer was slow to get up. According to The Sun, Billy was visibly shaken by the embarrassing incident. However, managed to continue with his final song before allegedly hobbling off stage.

Billy Joel Fans Express Their Concern

One fan claims that following the fall, Billy Joel appeared to be using his microphone as a makeshift cane for support. Another states that Joel appeared off all night even before taking the nasty tumble. “When I was younger, I was a massive fan of Billy Joel, so this is very concerning.

Despite the painful-looking tumble, Billy Joel has no plans to slow down anytime soon. He is currently prepping for an extensive tour. The singer will work his way across the United States during his upcoming stadium tour. Billy’s tour begins on March 29 in Detroit and will wrap up his stint in the U.S. in November.

The tour will also take the singer to the United Kingdom. Fans can also expect to see some special guests joining him on stage, including Sting, Stevie Nicks, and Rod Stewart.
