Bon Jovi reported dead: Bon Jovi mistaken for David Bowie in huge Thai newspaper error

Bon Jovi and David Bowie fans were left in a state of shock after a Thai newspaper confused details on David Bowie’s death over the weekend mistaking the legendary glam/rock icon for 80’s rocker Jon Bon Jovi.

Jon Bon Jovi reported dead

The paper, who meant to report the news of David Bowie’s passing was way off base and stated that Bowie was “the singer of the well-known hit ‘It’s My Life’ which is familiar among Thais.” Which is 2000 Bon Jovi hit. As you can well imagine Jon Bon Jovi fans were stunned to hear that Jon had allegedly passed away, and Bowie fans were irate over the big confusion and began bashing the paper for obviously not having their facts straight before going to print.

As reported, David Bowie passed away on Sunday surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer leaving the world of music heartbroken.

The paper amended their error as quickly as possible but not before Facebook users posted the screen shots of the error and opening up the publication to the wrath of many irate readers. One wrote: “It’s my life? Seriously, motherf*cker? If you don’t know, ask someone who knows or Google. There are thousands of answers for you.”

Another read,”if you don’t know who he is, how difficult is it to do a Google search?” and “Stupid Thai media can’t do a simple check before reporting.”

To clarify, Jon Bon Jovi thankfully, is very much alive, and most likely feels as every bit upset by both Bowie’s passing, and the newspapers terrible mistake as the next.

This is not Jon Bon Jovi’s first online death mistake in the past few years. Jon Bon Jovi was reported to have died in 2011 when he was among the lists of celebrities targeted as part of on online celebrity death hoax.

As happy as we are to report Jon Bon Jovi is, in fact, alive and well, we are very sad to hear of Mr. Bowie’s passing and send our deepest heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
