The cast of the beloved sitcom “Boy Meets World” recently revealed that their friend and former co-star, Ben Savage, has allegedly “ghosted” them for the past three years. In a candid interview with Variety, Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle, who portrayed Topanga Lawrence, Shawn Hunter, and Eric Matthews, respectively, shared their disappointment and confusion regarding Savage’s sudden absence from their lives.

According to Friedle, there was no falling out or animosity between them. Savage seemingly made the decision to cut off contact without any explanation or apparent reason. Friedle even expressed his frustration at Savage’s disappearance, emphasizing that he had known him for 30 years and attempted to reach out to him repeatedly to no avail, per Entertainment Weekly.

Ben Savage hasn’t spoken to his former co-stars in 3 years

The absence of Ben Savage became more evident when Fishel, Strong, and Friedle embarked on a rewatch podcast called “Pod Meets World” in 2022. They initially asked Savage to join them, but he declined, stating that it was not for him. While Fishel respected Savage’s decision, she mentioned that there was a significant time gap between their conversations about the podcast and its actual launch. This delay added to the mystery surrounding Savage’s withdrawal from their lives.

The cast of “Boy Meets World” had remained close even after the show ended, with frequent appearances at fan conventions. However, Fishel disclosed that Savage gradually stopped attending conventions and eventually cut off communication entirely. The abrupt nature of his departure, especially during a time when Fishel needed support after the birth of her first child, left the cast feeling ghosted and confused.

Despite the strained friendship and lack of communication, Fishel remains hopeful that this rough patch is not the end of their story. She emphasizes that everyone is on their own journey and experiences life differently. Fishel expresses her enduring love for Savage and her desire for what’s best for him, despite their current estrangement.
