Are you ready for The Brady Bunch reboot series? There is one former Brady cast member that feels the need to make this happen. Back in the 70s every kid watching television wanted to be a Brady. Classic TV shows are making a huge comeback, not only in syndication but with new and modern reboots. That is exactly what one former Brady Bunch cast member Maureen McCormick wants to do.

The Brady Bunch reboot finally in the works?

Per the National Enquirer, McCormick, who is best known for her role as eldest and coolest Brady sister Marcia claims she wants to do. The former teen idol reveals she wants to buy the original Brady Bunch home and get the gang back together.

Sources close to Maureen states, “Maureen’s hankering to buy the house that was totally renovated not too long ago and do a reboot. “She wants her TV siblings on board. But, she’s got a big job on her hands. She wants to buy the house and get a production company on board. Despite the ‘To Do” list that is required to put such a project in action, Maureen believes she can get the job done.”

A Brady Bunch revival would be missing original cast members

Maureen McCormick, 65, feels that the Brady Bunch gag had so much fun in 2019 when they all reunited for an HGTV special, “A Very Brady: Behind the Build” special that it is a real possibility.

Brady kids Barry Williams, 67, (Greg Brady) Christopher Knight,64, (Peter Brady) Mike Lookinland, 61, (Bobby Brady) as well as Eve Plumb, 63,(Jan Brady) and Susan Olsen, 60,(Cindy Brady) are reportedly in talks with Maureen.

“Since HGTV doesn’t know what to do with the property, it’s a prime opportunity,” dishes a source. “Maureen is sure viewers would love to see what Marcia and her siblings have been doing. She’s already brainstorming plotlines with the other cast members!”

A new generation of fans

So how would The Brady Bunch 2022 reboot work? Well, obviously the kids are well-grown, and living together in the family home would just be well, weird. So who would take over the family home? It sounds to reason that it would be a toss-up between Brady, Greg, and Marcia.

The home would likely be the focal point of the series going the way of “The Full House” reboot, “Fuller House.” However, the missing pieces of the family, Obviously Mike and Carol Brady, and Alice.

Sadly, all three of the key actors have passed away. Robert Reed, who played Brady’s patriarch died in May of 1992 following a battle with colon cancer. Florence Henderson, aka America’s Mom Carol Brady, died in 2016, at age 82 from heart failure. Last but not least, Anne B. Davis, the rock of the Brady Bunch, Alice died in 2014, at 88 from a subdural hematoma following a fall.

What would a Brady Bunch reboot look like?

We would have to imagine that The Brady Bunch reboot would obviously focus on the lives of the Brady kids as senior citizens helping to navigate family issues in 2022 with a bit of groovy nostalgia for the older folks.
