Bristol Palin has announced that she has officially joined the cast of “Teen Mom OG.” TMZ reports that “Teen Mom OG” production informants told the celebrity news site that signed a contract and will be a regular on the popular MTV reality series in the upcoming season.
The daughter of Sarah Palin is stepping in to fill the “Teen Mom OG” vacancy left by Farrah Abraham, who was fired earlier this year for being “too difficult” to work with. This is what we know about the new “Teen Mom OG” castmember. Bristol Palin and is a 27-year-old and the mother of three children. She had her first child, son, Tripp at the age 17.
She is currently in the process of divorcing estranged husband Dakota Meyer. Bristol Palin is no rookie when it comes to being on camera or dealing with the media. In 2008, Bristol Palin was introduced to the world during her mom Sarah Palin’s unsuccessful run for Vice President. Bristol has also appeared on a handful of popular reality series. Palin competed on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2010, finishing in third place. She returned to “DWTS” in 2012 to compete in the all-star edition of the ABC series.

Palin also headed up her own Lifetime reality series and released a memoir, “Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far,” in 2011. Bristol is also credited with a brief role in “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” in 2010 as a teenager dealing with an unexpected pregnancy. Later this year Bristol Palin will be joining “Teen Mom OG” veterans Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell.
The Ashley reports that Bristol Palin is currently filming. Bristol will not be the only new face seen by “Teen Mom OG” fans in the upcoming season.
It’s also reported that The Challenge star Cheyenne Floyd is also set to join Teen Mom OG.
“Amber, Catelynn and Maci did not even know,” The Ashley’s production source tells her. “It was kept under wraps because MTV was afraid that Sarah [Palin] would pull out, and MTV knew that the original girls would be upset. In fact, they even used a different name when discussing Bristol being on the show, to keep it a secret!”
“Teen Mom OG” fans can look forward to watching Bristol Palin’s story unfold. Bristol Palin is the mom of Tripp, 9, Sailor, 2, and Atlee, age one.

Fan reactions reveal that many are excited about the new “Teen Mom OG” moms, but, some are wondering if Bristol Palin has what it takes to deal with the ongoing drama. Time will tell when “Teen Mom OG” returns to MTV later this fall.
