Britney Spears’s divorce news is becoming a hot topic among her fans. On Wednesday, August 16, her husband of 14 months, Sam Asghari, filed a petition for divorce in Los Angeles, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Britney Spears Receives Unusual Support From Her Friends
The Baby One More Time hitmaker took to social media to speak out about the split, telling her Instagram followers she was shocked that her six-year-relationship had ended. The singer said she is not here to explain because she feels it is no one’s business. She stated that she could no longer take the pain.
Britney also adds that she wants to thank her friends for all of their support. She states, “But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore, honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way, I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends, and I thank you !!! I’ve been playing it strong for way too long, and my Instagram may seem perfect, but it’s far from reality, and I think we all know that !!!

Fan Concern Mounts For Britney Spears
Britney Spears has a solid social media presence on Instagram. However, some of her recent posts have her followers concerned. Following her divorce post, her followers took to Reddit to discuss their thought on the singer’s current situation. Her fans are torn between feeling happy for Britney to stand alone and being concerned about her mental state.
One fan writes, “Between that comment and the telepathy line, I’m thinking Britney may not be on her meds anymore.
Another follower adds, “Ever since she’s gotten out of her conservatorship, she’s been making headlines like crazy. From Kevin/the kids to the Instagram posts of her dancing and talking about her family, the miscarriage, the security guard… it’s so reminiscent of the height of her fame in the 2000s.”
A third posts, “It’s sad because I’m sure she thought once she got out of her [conservatorship] things would be easy, but it’s like we’re in a time machine and we’re back in 2007.”
As Britney Spears’ mental health concerns continue to mount, many of her followers wish nothing but the best for the singer. They hope once she gets through her divorce, she will begin to heal and find true happiness. However, that could take some time.

Sam Asghari’s Divorce Demands Could Get Costly
Britney Spears’ divorce from Sam Asghari may not go as smoothly as she hoped. According to Radar Online, they obtained a copy of Britney and Sam’s divorce petition, which reveals that Sam dropped a bombshell on his future ex-wife.
The paperwork reveals that Sam plans to fight Britney over the prenup they signed before the two walked down the aisle. He has also hired ex-Hollywood attorney Neal Hersh to represent him.
Ashgari lists the date of marriage as June 11, 2022, and the date of separation as July 28, 2023. The marriage lasted a total of 1 year and one month. He also asks that the judge award him spousal support in an amount that has yet to be determined. He also asks that Britney Spears be cut off from receiving any potential support and pay all legal fees.
Per their prenup according to Us Weekly, their sources stated that the former couple’s prenup said that Asghari would receive “$1 million per every two years” of their marriage, with a cap at $10 million after 15 years.
Asghari also waived any claims to Spears’ music catalog, and his name isn’t on the deed of their shared home. Instead, the pair agreed to put the house into a limited liability company or LLC. Since Sam has yet to determine the full extent of each party’s separate property assets and obligations, he reserves his right to amend the Petition, according to his attorney. This means things could get very costly and very nasty as the two fight this out in court.
