Britney Spear’s father Jamie Spears is reportedly under investigation for allegedly abusing Britney and Kevin Federline’s 13-year-old son according to TMZ. The claim against Britney Spears’ dad has been made by Kevin Federline. K-Fed reported to the police that the alleged incident took place on August 24 at Jamie’s Ventura County home.
According to Federline’s police report, Jamie and his son got into a heated argument which resulted in an angry Jamie at some point allegedly putting hands on the boy. TMZ claims that their sources stated that Jamie broke a door down to get to his grandson and grabbed him once he was in the room. There was no visible evidence of bruising or injury.
However, it was enough to anger Federline enough to report the incident on August 25 at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. An open investigation is underway and interviews with conducted with witnesses have been turned over to the District Attorney who will decide whether or not to file charges.
There have been some big changes going on between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline over the past several months. As previously reported an official custody agreement change has been finalized in court.
The new agreement will now have Kevin Federline with custody 70 percent of the time and Britney Spears 30 percent. The official filing came just days following K-Fed’s alleged abuse claims.
Reports state that the custody changes have been put in place to allow Britney Spears more freedom to work on her ongoing mental health issues. In May it was reported that Spears was having problems with regulating her medication and checked into the facility to rest and give doctors a chance to find the right combination of drugs.
