Brittany Murphy biopic to air this fall
Lifetime announced the Brittany Murphy biopic on Tuesday, revealing the 2-hour made for TV movie will be titled “The Brittany Murphy Story,” and will debut on Sept. 6.
“Greys Anatomy” star Amanda Fuller will play Murphy, while “Ray Donovan” actress Sherilynn Fenn, takes on the role of her mother, Sharon Murphy.
Sharon Murphy did not consult
The Brittany Murphy biopic will cover everything from Sharon Murphy’s efforts to break her young daughter in to show business, as well as her death, and the aftermath of her shocking passing. The movie will likely include the fact that Brittany’s husband, Simon Monjack, died only 5 months after his wife.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brittany Murphy’s mother, Sharon, has not consulted on the biopic in any way.
