Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, are said to be struggling in their marriage as of late. The country music superstar has been extremely busy with her career, and it’s allegedly been leaving her hubby to hold down the fort at home alone.
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher marriage on the rocks?
According to Life & Style Magazine, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher may have having some relationship issues. The outlet suggests that Fisher isn’t happy about Underwood’s busy work schedule. Sadly, things reportedly got worse when the “Jesus Take The Wheel” singer added even more dates to her Las Vegas residency.
“Mike is not happy Carrie extended her residency,” an insider stated. “He’s very traditional, and while he loves that Carrie has a career, he believes her role as a wife and mother should be a priority. Mike just wants Carrie to come home,” the source added.
The source went on to reveal that Underwood did speak with her husband before committing to more Las Vegas performances. However, he wasn’t on board with the plan. “He wasn’t really expecting her to want to stay in Vegas,” said the informant.
Mike has been living as a full-time parent while Carrie’s in Vegas
The publication went on to real that Mike Fisher has been taking on most of the parenting responsibilities amid Carrie Underwood’s Las Vegas residency. The retired NHL player is now spending most of his time at the family’s home in Tennessee with the couple’s sons, Isaiah and Jacob.
“He didn’t sign up to be the full-time parent, and he’s annoyed she’s missed family events,” says the insider. “It’s definitely a bump in the road. But they’ll get through this.”
Underwood allegedly enjoys life in Las Vegas
Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood has admitted to missing her boys and her husband while away from home. The singer has taken to social media to share her longing to be with her family. However, sources says that she does enjoy having her time alone as well.
“[She] loves her family, but she also enjoys some alone times,” says the insider. “She’s made friends in Las Vegas and has a whole other life there.”
Only time will tell if Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher will be able to work through their issues. However, they have two young sons to think about, and Underwood’s career is obviously an important fact in her life as well.
