Carrie Underwood performed America The Beautiful at Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday. However, all did not go according to plan. The famous country music star was said to be extremely unhappy with the performance all the way around. This includes the way she was treated at the event. Sources claim that the singer was “furious” about the events leading up to and during the inauguration, claiming that she wasn’t given the same treatment or respect as other big names who performed at recent inaugurations.

The Daily Mail reports that Carrie Underwood threw an actual “hissy fit” when it came to her treatment and the performance that she was forced to give at the ceremony. The singer was not given a stage or platform to stand on during her performance. Instead, she was surrounded by a sea of people, including some of the most recognizable politicians such as Joe Biden, Hilary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and others. The placement of her performance allegedly threw off her tune. Technical difficulties during the inauguration also caused the performance to be deemed awkward.

The inauguration was moved indoors due to the extreme cold temperatures. The change obviously had some impact on the events of the day, including the performances. However, Underwood powered through. Although she was allegedly unhappy about it.

“Her anxiety was high throughout the performance, and she felt that she was not afforded the same level of respect or admiration that previous performers, such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, had received,” said an insider. “She felt as if she was ushered in and out and had a mini hissy fit afterwards.”

“She is used to playing at massive venues with a stage to herself. She was not given a stage or a platform even. [Carrie] felt like she was literally just in a room with people all around her and a microphone. This threw off the acoustics,” the source added. “Though it isn’t her day, and she just wanted to add to the day and not upstage anything, she was annoyed of how it turned out.” However, sources says she was “able to save it from being a total disaster.”

Donald Trump’s inauguration may have been impacted due to the weather, but it certainly wasn’t the first time. Earth Network reveals that the inaugurations of Ronald Reagan, Ulysses S. Grant, James Polk, William Henry Harrison, Benjamin Harrison, and William Howard Taft also endured poor weather conditions.

Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood allegedly shook off the experience. She’s now trying to put things in perspective. The informant claims that the country star will one day laugh about the performance. While that day may not be today, she’ll try to put the awkward inauguration performance behind her.
