“Celebrity Big Brother” is in full swing in the UK, and the cast is already making headlines. Two American celebrities, Mickey Rourke and JoJo Siwa got into a spat during an early episode that left the actor being formerly warned about his behavior on the reality series.
According to Deadline, Mickey Rourke used a homophobic slur against JoJo Siwa on “Celebrity Big Brother UK.” It all started when Rourke and Siwa engaged in conversation. The ex-boxer asked the former “Dance Moms” star if she liked boys or girls.
“Me? Girls. My partner is non-binary,” Siwa explained. Rouke then hit back with what may have been his idea of a joke. “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore,” he stated. “I can guarantee I’ll still be gay and I’ll still be in a very happy relationship,” Siwa spat back.
Mickey Rourke Causes Controversy On Celebrity Big Brother UK
Later, Mickey moved on to converse with fellow houseguest Chris Hughes. During their talk, Rourke said “I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick.” When JoJo overheard the comment, she accused him of being “homophobic” in his reasoning.
Rouke poured gasoline on the fire when he stated, “I need a f-g, then gestured toward Siwa. “I’m not talking to you,” he added. Hughes then stepped in and reprimanded Mickey for his choice of words. “I know. I was talking about a cigarette,” he claimed.
JoJo was left upset by the encounter, and Mickey was later called into the Diary Room. There, he was officially talked to about his behavior.
“As a result, Big Brother is giving you a formal warning. Further language or behavior of this nature could lead to you being removed from the Big Brother house,” the report revealed. Rourke later apologized. “I didn’t mean it in any bad intentions and if I did, sorry,” he said. Siwa later claimed that she appreciated the apology. However, it seems that there is already some bad blood brewing between the two houseguests.
However, that wasn’t the only eyebrow-raising behavior that Mickey Rourke displayed on “Celebrity Big Brother UK.” He also made it known that he didn’t understand the way the show works, asking if there was a “break” from filming before passing out cold on the couch, per The Sun.
“He’ll be voted out first,” one person commented.
“They’re both jokes,” another said of Rourke and Siwa.
“Mickey is so confused. Is he okay to be left alone?” another asked.
