Chevy’s History With Substance Abuse

“If it hadn’t been for the courage of Mr. Ford’s wife, Betty, for admitting to an alcohol problem, I would never have received the help I needed in the early 1980s at the Betty Ford clinic, located not far from the Ford residence near Palm Springs,” he wrote.

Chevy Chase fans are now sending love and support to the funnyman after he revealed his addiction issue and rehab stint. Fans are encouraging the actor to seek help and get the most out of his treatment. Chevy’s rep added that his client only “wants to be the best that he can be.”
